I know very little about some of the people on my friends list. Some people I know relatively well. Some we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.
But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...they're obsessed with so-and-so."
I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal.
(I wanted to comment on a lot of your guys' entries but I don't have time now, seeing as I have to get ready for *gasp* SKOOL. So I'll do it tonight I think. ^0^)

Alright! This is from the 15th issue of the a knot fanclub magazine. Fans were apparently asked beforehand to send in questions and either Kyo or someone who does the magazine picked questions from those sent in and Kyo answered them. The ones who got their questions picked were sent prizes I believe.
I've encluded the original Japanese that I transcribed from the magazine itself, and then a translation afterwards, with all my translation notes and links to the stuff Kyo mentions that some of us might not know about. If you have any questions or spot any GLARING errors, please don't hesitate to leave me a comment to let me know ^^; I originally did this translation a few years ago and my skill back then was not so awesome. I polished up a few parts but I may have missed something big.
Oh, yeah. I dunno who would want to use this or anything but THIS IS MY TRANSLATION. Please don't repost it anywhere w/o some form of linkback or credit, and most certainly don't claim it as your own. I shouldn't have to say this but I know this is the interwebz so... >.>;

Debate? When I originally posted this translation on Batsu a few years ago, most people wrote the "divorced" comment off as Kyo just lying through his teeth again. However, he seems to have been truthful on everything else in here (well, I suppose maybe that's debatable too. Lassen is his fave artist? It's pretty but I wouldn't have thought of that as his style 8D) so... I guess that one's up for debate.

I wonder if we make these inside-out rolls to make the food look more appetizing to Americans? Since these kinds of rolls apparently don't exist in Japan. o.o; You gotta figure that a bunch of rice on the outside looks more appetizing to us than a bunch of green seaweed. But that's just a guess on my part. 8DDD I like it either way.
I was going through my files on my computer and I found a translation I did a few years ago of an interview Kyo did for Dir en grey's fanclub magazine. I recall posting it on Batsu forever ago but I don't remember if I ever posted it on my LJ. I don't think I did and a quick search of my tags doesn't yield anything. People who've been following my journal for a while, does this ring a bell? If not, I'll post it for the sake of posterity, in case my computer crashes 8DDD It was an interesting interview and he made a few amusing comments.

I don't get it! That chick from before called me again and I told her she had the wrong number and she said okay and apologized but she keeps calling back. She's called me 8 (count them, eight) times in the last two days. The two times I've spoken to her, I've told her that she had the wrong number and that I'm a girl named Allison and that this is my private cell phone number and she says okay and apologizes and then calls me back within a day and asks for the same damn person.
When she called today I said, "Look, I don't know what to tell you. You have the wrong number!" and she said "okay!" and hung up. I'm not too optimistic though, I told her that last time and she called me four times the next day and texted me as well.
I just don't get it. Does she think that by waiting and trying again, the number will magically connect to a different phone?
If she doesn't give this up, I'm gonna contact Sprint about getting her number blocked. This is insane.

Okay, so I just laid down to go to sleep and it's nearly 3 in the morning. I'm in bed, pulling the covers over my head, when my phone starts buzzing on my nightstand.
I peek at it, figuring it's a text or something and I see that its actually a phone call from California (when the number is not listed in my address book and is from out of state, the phone will list which state it's from).
So I hit ignore, since it's not a number in my phone book and it's not even from someone in Nebraska. Well, this person is persistant and they immediately call right back again. I finally sit up and answer it, figuring maybe it's someone on my friends list from the interwebs trying to get a hold of me.
Me: *sounding sleepy as fuck* Hello?
Girl: Hi, is Alex there?
Me: ... who?
Girl: Can I talk to Alex?
Me: ... *not quite hearing this correctly* I'm sorry, who are you trying to get a hold of?
Girl: Can I talk to Alejandro?
At this point I tried to turn up the volume a bit and in my sleepiness I accidently hung up on the girl. I didn't bother to call her back or anything -it's definitely a wrong number and it's nearly 3am but no matter, she just called me back - twice. You would think the answering machine message in Japanese would clue her in to the fact that she's got the wrong number, but she doesn't seem to want to give up. I just turned the ringer off on my phone. Let the idiot call back all she wants; it won't interrupt my sleep.
Incidently, if she calls back when I'm more coherent (and when it's not nearly 3 in the bloody morning), I'll probably plainly inform her that she's calling a cell phone of a white female college student in Nebraska, and that her Alejandro isn't here.
Ugh.

So I'm watching the news here in KC with my stepmom and they're doing a story about this Lisa Montgomery murder trial. This woman apparently attacked another woman and cut her baby out of her belly... I've been a fan of Japanese TV dramas for about... six months now? I've always been kind of disappointed at how hard they are to locate online (unless you're a BitTorrent person, then I'd imagine it's fairly do-able o.o), and the fact that a lot of Jrock fans don't really know the joys of jdrama. This stuff is gold. 8D! Hot Japanese actors, annoying girls, fantastic plots ("fantastic" as, totally unbelievable 8D)... what better way to spend a week than indulging in Japanese melodrama? Each series has around 10~12 episodes each, with a run time of around 45 minutes per episode.
So this is going to be my archive of Japanese dramas that I've uploaded. As each episode is usually over 300 MB, I've split the files with HJ Split and uploaded them in pieces to Mediafire. To watch, you need to download all the parts for an episode, and then reassemble them with HJ Split. If you have any questions, you can comment here and I'll do my best to help. ^0^
