I am actually quite tempted to start a new one alll over again. I have changed so much in interests and personality, that looking at this journal seems alien. But you know, since there's that laziness thing, I guess this ones here to stay for now. Anywayyy, Christmas! I was home for it this year and it was wonnnderful. I got so much lovely things and spent it with mah favorite people. Christmas this year was a big giant :3 face. I'll post all the stuff I got in a post soon, just got done taking pictures of everything! My cat Patch died a month or so ago, and while I was home I saw her little grave site in the backyard. It was sads :( I have had patchy ever since I was like 6, it seemed like she was gonna live forever! She apparently had cancer and was in such a terrible state that they had to put her down. I'm sad that I wasn't there, but glad I got to see her in the summer when she was well. I will miss mah baby :((( hmmm what else. I watched that District 9 film on the plane going to NY. Ehhhh wow overrated fim was overrated. It was also really not what I was expecting it to be. I didn't hate it and I didn't like it either. Terrible selection of films when I went, it was either D9, Harry Potter or Julie and Julia :V Oh well I gotta go resize pictures, xmas haul post soon 8D 読む // 4 // 書く

dir en grey: a decade [03 Jan 2010|12:20am] misatojaganshi [ mood | accomplished ] [ music | Dir en grey - Ware, yami tote... ] The first Deg song I ever heard was Zan, it was like nothing I had ever heard at that point. I was 16 years old and found the song online on a website run by an Australian girl and so started my 10 year long relationship with this band. With them came many friends and incredibly memorable moments at their live shows and inspiration for me and unforgettable visuals and pvs. At this point I think they've eclipsed their predecessors in terms of influence on the jrock music scene. Dir en grey is a super important band in my life, these are my personal experiences in regards to their music. Behind the cut are videos and my thoughts on the fandom and what was going on at the time of their releases. I'm really happy I got to know them from the beginning of their career. ( awesome shit right here ) Hageshisa to, Kono Mune no Naka de Karamitsuita Shakunetsu no Yami, their latest single! This is a preview of the pv. Its the first time I'm hearing it :O The English Name for this Song is 'An Intense, Dark Hook Burning in my Heart', ohhhhh. Its kinda fun O.O Sounds like something from The Marrow of a Bone era, to be honest I wasn't expecting something this heavy. I love how kinda operatic Kyo's vocals sounds in some parts XD I've listened to it like 3xs so I think I kinda dig it XD cloudy_pop told me that Dir are super popular in Japan again but most of their fandom consists of males! Haha I guess they weeded out most of the teenage girls with their last 3 albums. Stuff to do this year [02 Jan 2010|10:08am] ummeiko [ mood | pondering ] I'm not big on the whole "resolutions" ceremony. In my experience, people make crazy claims on the first ("I'm gonna lose 50 pounds!" "I'm gonna exercise for 6 hours a day!" "I'm going to give 1000 dollars to charity!"). It makes them feel good, and I can't blame them for that, but most of the resolutions made out of the "hey, it's new years, I have to do it cuz it's like... new year's" are forgotten on January second. However, I got to thinking yesterday and there are a few things I want to do this year. So I figure, why not? So without further a-do, my 2010 To Do List (because they're not resolutions): 1. Not gain weight. I don't care about whether I lose 20 pounds or not. I do care about staying where I am roughly. I think that's reasonable. 2. Read more. I used to read A LOT. I think I maybe read 1 book in 2009. Maybe. 3. Finish the video games I bought but never finished. I have a long list of games from PS1 to Wii. It feels like I wasted money by not finishing them. So I shall finish them. 4. Learn cake decorating, in some form. It doesn't have to be fancy. It doesn't have to be a class. Just do it. Have fun. 5. Keep drawing. I started drawing again (need to hook the scanner up). I need to keep at it. I very much enjoy it. --5b. Finish the pictures for my cousin's T-shirt design 6. Fix at least one thing on my car. It's not falling apart. It's not a clunker. It does need some maintenance on it. 7. Talk or hang out with people. My work schedule and Nick's anti-social, never wanting to go anywhere personality kinda makes this a struggle, but at the very least, I don't want to lose touch with any more people. 8. Go to Des Moines to visit at least one of my relatives at a time other than Christmas. I get accused of never seeing people unless it's Christmas or a wedding (and the family's out of weddings for awhile unless Nick suddenly proposes). It's not a false accusation. That's it. Simple, practical. I think. 書く
